एष मुक्त इति प्रोक्तो य एवं मुक्तिमाप्नुयात् । यथा जलं जलेनैक्यं निक्षिप्तमुपगच्छति

eṣa mukta iti prokto ya evaṃ muktimāpnuyāt | yathā jalaṃ jalenaikyaṃ nikṣiptamupagacchati

ഇങ്ങനെ മോക്ഷം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നവനെയാണ് ‘മുക്തൻ’ എന്നു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നത്. ജലം ജലത്തിൽ ഒഴിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിനോടു ഏകത്വം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ.
