श्रद्धया परया पार्थ द्विजेभ्यः संप्रयच्छति । शतकोटिगुणं पुण्यं कोटितीर्थप्रभावतः । कोटितीर्थे प्रतिश्रुत्य द्विजेभ्यो न प्रयच्छति
śraddhayā parayā pārtha dvijebhyaḥ saṃprayacchati | śatakoṭiguṇaṃ puṇyaṃ koṭitīrthaprabhāvataḥ | koṭitīrthe pratiśrutya dvijebhyo na prayacchati
ഹേ പാർഥാ, ഇവിടെ പരമശ്രദ്ധയോടെ ബ്രാഹ്മണർക്കു ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ കോട്ടിതീർഥത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭാവത്താൽ ശതകോടിഗുണം പുണ്യം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു। എന്നാൽ കോട്ടിതീർഥത്തിൽ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തിട്ടും ബ്രാഹ്മണർക്കു കൊടുക്കാത്തവൻ മഹാപാപഭാഗിയാകുന്നു।
