संप्रविश्यान्नमध्ये तु पृथगन्नपृथग्जलम् । अग्नेरूर्ध्वं जलं स्थाप्य तदन्नं तज्जलोपरि
saṃpraviśyānnamadhye tu pṛthagannapṛthagjalam | agnerūrdhvaṃ jalaṃ sthāpya tadannaṃ tajjalopari
അന്നത്തിനുള്ളിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ച് അത് അന്നത്തെ ജലത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വേർതിരിക്കുന്നു. ജഠരാഗ്നിയുടെ മീതെ ജലം സ്ഥാപിച്ച്, ആ ജലത്തിനുമീതെ അന്നത്തെ നിലനിർത്തുന്നു.
