यदि तान्भोः प्रशंसामि स्वीयान्स्तौतीति वाच्यता । निंदाम्यनर्हान्कस्माद्वा कष्टमेवोभयत्र च
yadi tānbhoḥ praśaṃsāmi svīyānstautīti vācyatā | niṃdāmyanarhānkasmādvā kaṣṭamevobhayatra ca
ഞാൻ അവരെ പ്രശംസിച്ചാൽ ‘സ്വന്തക്കാരെ തന്നെയാണ് സ്തുതിക്കുന്നത്’ എന്ന് ആളുകൾ പറയും. നിന്ദയ്ക്ക് അർഹരല്ലാത്തവരെ ഞാൻ എന്തിന് നിന്ദിക്കണം? ഇരുവശത്തും കഷ്ടമേ.
