tasmādbuddhimukaistvataiḥ sāttvikairdevatāṃ bhajet | rājasairmānavatvaṃ ca tāmasaiḥ sthāṇuyonitā

അതുകൊണ്ട് പ്രബുദ്ധ ബുദ്ധിയോടുകൂടിയ സാത്ത്വിക ഭാവങ്ങളാൽ ദേവത്വം ലഭിക്കുന്നു; രാജസ ഭാവങ്ങളാൽ മനുഷ്യജന്മം; താമസ ഭാവങ്ങളാൽ സ്ഥാവരയോനിയിൽ പതനം സംഭവിക്കുന്നു.
