कृशोतीव गलत्कुष्ठी प्रमुह्यंश्च पदेपेद । नंदभद्रमुवाचेदं कृच्छ्रात्संस्तभ्य बालकः
kṛśotīva galatkuṣṭhī pramuhyaṃśca padepeda | naṃdabhadramuvācedaṃ kṛcchrātsaṃstabhya bālakaḥ
ആ ബാലൻ അത്യന്തം ക്ഷീണിതനായിരുന്നു; കുഷ്ഠം പുഴുകി ഒഴുകുകയും, ഓരോ ചുവടിലും ബോധക്ഷയം വരികയും ചെയ്തു; വലിയ പ്രയാസത്തോടെ സ്വയം താങ്ങി നന്ദഭദ്രനോട് ഈ വാക്കുകൾ പറഞ്ഞു।
