ईर्ष्यया सुमहद्दुःखं मोहाद्रक्तस्य जायते । मत्तस्य कुपितस्यैव रागो दोषाय केवलम्
īrṣyayā sumahadduḥkhaṃ mohādraktasya jāyate | mattasya kupitasyaiva rāgo doṣāya kevalam
മോഹത്തിൽ രഞ്ജിതമായ മനസ്സുള്ളവന് അസൂയ മൂലം അതിമഹാദുഃഖം ജനിക്കുന്നു. മത്തനും ക്രുദ്ധനും ആയവന് രാഗം വെറും ദോഷമായിത്തന്നെ തീരുന്നു.
