यद्दुःखं जायते तस्य तद्गर्भेऽष्टगुणं भवेत् । इत्येतद्गर्भदुःखं हि प्राणिनां परिकीर्तितम्

Transliteration

yadduḥkhaṃ jāyate tasya tadgarbhe'ṣṭaguṇaṃ bhavet | ityetadgarbhaduḥkhaṃ hi prāṇināṃ parikīrtitam

Translation

ജീവിക്ക് ഏതു ദുഃഖം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നുവോ, അതേ ഗർഭത്തിൽ എട്ടിരട്ടിയായി വർധിക്കുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രാണികളുടെ ‘ഗർഭദുഃഖം’ പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
