दृष्ट्वा प्रत्यक्षतो मादृक्कथं पिबति भो वद । साधु वाप्यथवाऽसाधु न पिबेयं कथंचन
dṛṣṭvā pratyakṣato mādṛkkathaṃ pibati bho vada | sādhu vāpyathavā'sādhu na pibeyaṃ kathaṃcana
“കണ്ണിന് മുന്നിൽ തന്നെ ഇത് പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി കാണുമ്പോൾ എനിക്കുപോലെയുള്ളവൻ എങ്ങനെ കുടിക്കും? പറയൂ. നല്ലതായാലും ചീത്തയായാലും ഞാൻ ഒരുവിധത്തിലും കുടിക്കില്ല.”
