एवं ते भूतवद्देवा न हि गृह्णन्ति कर्हिचित् । शुचि कामं जुषंते न हविरश्रद्दधानतः
evaṃ te bhūtavaddevā na hi gṛhṇanti karhicit | śuci kāmaṃ juṣaṃte na haviraśraddadhānataḥ
ഇങ്ങനെ ദേവന്മാർ അതിനെ ഒരിക്കലും സ്വീകരിക്കുകയില്ല; അത് ഭൂതങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതുപോലെ ആകുന്നു. അർപ്പണം ശുദ്ധമായാലും, ശ്രദ്ധയില്ലാതെ സമർപ്പിച്ച ഹവിയെ അവർ ആസ്വദിക്കുകയില്ല.
