यच्चाक्रुश्य ददात्यंग दत्त्वा वाक्रोशति द्विजम् । पैशाचं तद्वृथा दानंदाननाशास्त्रयस्त्वमी
yaccākruśya dadātyaṃga dattvā vākrośati dvijam | paiśācaṃ tadvṛthā dānaṃdānanāśāstrayastvamī
പ്രിയനേ, ശപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നൽകുന്ന ദാനം, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നൽകി കഴിഞ്ഞ് ദ്വിജനെ (ബ്രാഹ്മണനെ) നിന്ദിക്കുന്നത്—അത് ‘പൈശാച’ ദാനം; അത് വ്യർത്ഥമാകുന്നു. ഇവ തന്നെയാണ് ദാനനാശത്തിന്റെ മൂന്നു വിധങ്ങൾ.
