योजनार्धप्रमाणानि भानि ह्रस्वं न विद्यते । भूमिलोकश्च भूर्लोकः पादगम्यः प्रकीर्तितः
yojanārdhapramāṇāni bhāni hrasvaṃ na vidyate | bhūmilokaśca bhūrlokaḥ pādagamyaḥ prakīrtitaḥ
ജ്യോതിഷ്കങ്ങളുടെ അളവ് അർദ്ധയോജനമെന്നു പറയപ്പെടുന്നു; അതിലും ചെറുതായ അളവ് അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നില്ല. ഈ ഭൂമിലോകം തന്നെയാണ് ‘ഭൂർലോകം’ എന്നു പ്രസിദ്ധം; അത് പാദഗമ്യമെന്നു പ്രഖ്യാതം.
