saṃdhyākāle ca maṃdehāḥ sūryamicchaṃti khāditum | prajāpatikṛtaḥ śāpasteṣāṃ phālguna rakṣasām

Translation

സന്ധ്യാകാലത്ത് മന്ദേഹാ രാക്ഷസർ സൂര്യനെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. ഹേ ഫാൽഗുനാ! ആ രാക്ഷസന്മാർക്കു പ്രജാപതി ചെയ്ത ശാപം ഇതുതന്നെ.
