रम्यां मनोरमां भूमिं न पश्यामि कथंचन । भृगुरुवाच । विप्राणां स्थापनार्थाय मयापि भ्रमता पुरा
ramyāṃ manoramāṃ bhūmiṃ na paśyāmi kathaṃcana | bhṛguruvāca | viprāṇāṃ sthāpanārthāya mayāpi bhramatā purā
“ഞാൻ യാതൊരു വിധത്തിലും സത്യമായി രമണീയവും മംഗളകരവും ആയ ഭൂമിയെ കാണുന്നില്ല.” ഭൃഗു പറഞ്ഞു—“പൂർവ്വകാലത്ത് ഞാനും ബ്രാഹ്മണരുടെ സ്ഥാപനം ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി സ്ഥലം തേടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചിരുന്നു.”
