चंद्रज्योत्स्नाभिसंपृक्ता तामसी रजनी यथा । रजनी वा सिते पक्षे दृष्टिदोषं ददासि मे
caṃdrajyotsnābhisaṃpṛktā tāmasī rajanī yathā | rajanī vā site pakṣe dṛṣṭidoṣaṃ dadāsi me
നീ ചന്ദ്രജ്യോത്സ്നയോടെ കലർന്ന ഇരുണ്ട രാത്രിപോലെ; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ശുക്ലപക്ഷത്തിലെ രാത്രിപോലെ. ഹേ ശുഭ്രേ, എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ നീ ഒരു ദോഷം വരുത്തുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നുന്നു।
