तदस्याः किमहं दद्मि रवेर्दीपमिवाल्पकः । संचिंत्येति महादेव्या नाशिषं दत्तवानहम्
tadasyāḥ kimahaṃ dadmi raverdīpamivālpakaḥ | saṃciṃtyeti mahādevyā nāśiṣaṃ dattavānaham
ഞാൻ അവൾക്ക് എന്ത് നൽകാൻ കഴിയും—സൂര്യനോട് ചെറിയ ദീപം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ! എന്ന് ചിന്തിച്ച് മഹാദേവിക്ക് ഞാൻ യാതൊരു ‘ആശീർവാദവും’ നൽകിയില്ല.
