वृद्धत्वे हि समश्राति नरो वै नात्र भविष्यति । तस्माद्देशे च काले च सुपात्रे विधिना नरः । शुभार्जितं प्रयुञ्जीत श्रद्धया शाठ्यवर्जितः
vṛddhatve hi samaśrāti naro vai nātra bhaviṣyati | tasmāddeśe ca kāle ca supātre vidhinā naraḥ | śubhārjitaṃ prayuñjīta śraddhayā śāṭhyavarjitaḥ
വാർദ്ധക്യത്തിൽ മനുഷ്യൻ നിശ്ചയമായും ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു; ഇതിൽ സംശയമില്ല. അതിനാൽ ദേശം, കാലം, സുപാത്രം എന്നിവ കണക്കാക്കി, വിധിപൂർവം, ശുഭമായി സമ്പാദിച്ച ധനം ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ, കപടം വിട്ട് ദാനം ചെയ്യണം।
