शक्तिं जग्राह तीक्ष्णाग्रां हेमघंटाट्टहासिनीम् । तया वामं भुजं विष्णोर्बिभेद दितिनंदनः
śaktiṃ jagrāha tīkṣṇāgrāṃ hemaghaṃṭāṭṭahāsinīm | tayā vāmaṃ bhujaṃ viṣṇorbibheda ditinaṃdanaḥ
അവൻ മൂർച്ചയുള്ള അഗ്രമുള്ള ശക്തി-ആയുധം പിടിച്ചു; അത് സ്വർണ്ണഘണ്ടയുടെ പോലെ ഘോര അട്ടഹാസത്തോടെ മുഴങ്ങി. അതുകൊണ്ട് ദിതിയുടെ പുത്രൻ വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ ഇടത് ഭുജം ഭേദിച്ചു.
