स नो रक्षतु गोविंदो भयार्तास्ते जगुः सुराः । सुराणां चिंतितं ज्ञात्वा भगवान्गरुडध्वजः
sa no rakṣatu goviṃdo bhayārtāste jaguḥ surāḥ | surāṇāṃ ciṃtitaṃ jñātvā bhagavāngaruḍadhvajaḥ
“ഗോവിന്ദൻ ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ”—ഭയാർത്തരായ ദേവന്മാർ ഇങ്ങനെ നിലവിളിച്ചു. ദേവന്മാരുടെ മനസ്സിലെ ചിന്ത അറിഞ്ഞ ഗരുഡധ്വജ ഭഗവാൻ പ്രതികരിച്ചു.
