ततः शशाम वज्रास्त्रं कालनेमिस्ततो रुषा । जीवग्राहं ग्राहयितुमश्विनौ तौ प्रचक्रमे
tataḥ śaśāma vajrāstraṃ kālanemistato ruṣā | jīvagrāhaṃ grāhayitumaśvinau tau pracakrame
അപ്പോൾ വജ്രാസ്ത്രം ശമിച്ചു; പിന്നെ കാലനേമി ക്രോധത്തോടെ, ആ രണ്ടു അശ്വിനികളെ ‘ജീവഗ്രാഹ’ എന്ന പ്രാണഹര ഗ്രഹണത്തിൽ കുടുക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു।
