नारद उवाच । कालनेमी रुषाविष्टस्तेषां रूपं न बुद्धवान् । ततो निमिं च दैत्येन्द्रं मत्वा देवं महाजवः
nārada uvāca | kālanemī ruṣāviṣṭasteṣāṃ rūpaṃ na buddhavān | tato nimiṃ ca daityendraṃ matvā devaṃ mahājavaḥ
നാരദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ക്രോധാവേശത്തിലായ കാലനേമി അവരുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ രൂപം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞില്ല. പിന്നെ ദൈത്യേന്ദ്രനായ നിമിയെ ദേവനെന്ന് കരുതി ആ മഹാവേഗി മുന്നോട്ട് പാഞ്ഞു.
