क्रुद्धोऽथ महिषो दैत्यो वरुणं समुपाद्रवत् । तमंतकमुखासन्नमालोक्य हिमदीधितिः
kruddho'tha mahiṣo daityo varuṇaṃ samupādravat | tamaṃtakamukhāsannamālokya himadīdhitiḥ
അപ്പോൾ ക്രുദ്ധനായ ദൈത്യൻ മഹിഷൻ വരുണനെ ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി പാഞ്ഞുവന്നു. മുഖാമുഖം മരണത്തെപ്പോലെ അടുത്തുവരുന്നതു കണ്ടു, ശീതലദീപ്തിയുള്ള ചന്ദ്രൻ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു।
