श्रिया तेषां च किं कार्यं समृद्धानां तथापि यत् । जातिधर्मेण चाभेद्या विधातुरपि ते मताः
śriyā teṣāṃ ca kiṃ kāryaṃ samṛddhānāṃ tathāpi yat | jātidharmeṇa cābhedyā vidhāturapi te matāḥ
അവർ ഇതിനകം സമൃദ്ധരായിരിക്കെ അവർക്കു ശ്രീ-സമ്പത്ത് നൽകി എന്തു കാര്യം? അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ജാതിധർമ്മം മൂലം മാറ്റാനാകാത്തവരെന്നു—വിധാതാവിനും പോലും—കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു.
