ब्रह्मोवाच । किमर्थं भूय एव त्वं नियमं क्रूरमिच्छसि । आहाराभिमुखो दैत्य तन्मे ब्रूहि महाव्रतः
brahmovāca | kimarthaṃ bhūya eva tvaṃ niyamaṃ krūramicchasi | āhārābhimukho daitya tanme brūhi mahāvrataḥ
ബ്രഹ്മാവ് പറഞ്ഞു—നീ വീണ്ടും എന്തിനാണ് ക്രൂരമായ നിയമം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്? ഹേ ദൈത്യാ, ഇപ്പോൾ ആഹാരത്തിലേക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന നീ, ഹേ മഹാവ്രതധരാ, അത് എനിക്കു പറയുക.
