महीनाम नदी च पृथिव्यां यानिकानिचित् । तीर्थानि तेषां सलिलसंभवं तज्जलं विदुः
mahīnāma nadī ca pṛthivyāṃ yānikānicit | tīrthāni teṣāṃ salilasaṃbhavaṃ tajjalaṃ viduḥ
ഭൂമിയിലെ ഏതു തീർത്ഥങ്ങളായാലും, ‘മഹീ’ എന്ന നദിയും—അവയുടെ ജലം എല്ലാം ആ പുണ്യപ്രവാഹജലത്തിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ ഉദ്ഭവിച്ചതെന്ന് അറിയുക।
