यदात्र स्तानकं चक्रे देवर्षिर्नारदः पुरा । तदा ग्रहैर्वरा दत्ताः शनिना च वरस्त्वसौ
yadātra stānakaṃ cakre devarṣirnāradaḥ purā | tadā grahairvarā dattāḥ śaninā ca varastvasau
പൂർവകാലത്ത് ദേവർഷി നാരദൻ ഇവിടെ പുണ്യവ്രതാനുഷ്ഠാനം ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ, ഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ വരങ്ങൾ നൽകി; പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ശനി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഒരു വരം അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
