जलाभिलाषिणी बाला न मनागपि सा पिबत् । कुशाग्रतोयपृषतं पंचाग्निपरितापिता

Transliteration

jalābhilāṣiṇī bālā na manāgapi sā pibat | kuśāgratoyapṛṣataṃ paṃcāgniparitāpitā

Translation

ജലം ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്ന ആ ബാലിക പോലും അല്പം പോലും കുടിച്ചില്ല; പഞ്ചാഗ്നിയുടെ ചൂടിൽ ദഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, കുശാഗ്രത്തിൽ തങ്ങിയ ജലബിന്ദുവത്രേ അവൾ സ്വീകരിച്ചു।
