nagarī plāvitā svapne taraṃgaiḥ kṣīranīradheḥ | pakṣaistricaturaiḥ śaṃke mahāśaṃkāṃ puraukasām

സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ നഗരം ക്ഷീരസമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ തരംഗങ്ങളാൽ പ്ലാവിതമായി; മൂന്ന് നാലു പക്ഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ നഗരവാസികൾക്ക് മഹാഭയം ഉയരുമെന്ന് ഞാൻ ആശങ്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
