tadāprabhṛti talliṃgamamṛteśaṃ munīśvara | kāśyāṃ siddhipradaṃ nṛṇāṃ kalau guptaṃ bhavetpunaḥ
Skanda (addressing Agastya as munīśvara; deduced)
Tirtha: Amṛteśa liṅga (Kāśī)
Type: temple
Listener: ‘Munīśvara’ addressed; assembled sages implied
Scene: A luminous liṅga in Kāśī gradually veils itself—light folding inward—while siddhas perceive it and ordinary eyes pass by; the cityscape of Kāśī continues, suggesting hidden sanctity in Kali.
Sacred power remains in Kāśī, but access may become veiled in Kali-yuga, urging sincerity and perseverance in seeking dharma.
Amṛteśa liṅga in Kāśī—its siddhi-giving presence is emphasized.
No specific rite is stated; the verse teaches about siddhi and the shrine’s becoming gupta (concealed) in Kali-yuga.
