स्कंद उवाच । पुनः स नारदोऽगस्त्य देव्याः प्राक्समुपागतः । तद्वृत्तांतमशेषं च हरायावेदितुं ययौ

സ്കന്ദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ അഗസ്ത്യാ! നാരദൻ ആദ്യം ദേവിയെ സമീപിച്ച്, പിന്നെ ആ മുഴുവൻ വൃത്താന്തവും ഹരനോട് (ശിവനോട്) പൂർണ്ണമായി അറിയിക്കുവാൻ പോയി.
