क्षतात्संत्राणनात्क्षत्रं तत्क्वास्मिन्प्रलयप्रिये । वैश्योपि न भवेदेष सदा निर्धनचेष्टनः
kṣatātsaṃtrāṇanātkṣatraṃ tatkvāsminpralayapriye | vaiśyopi na bhavedeṣa sadā nirdhanaceṣṭanaḥ
പരിക്കേറ്റവനെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ‘ക്ഷത്ര’ എന്നു പറയുന്നത്—എന്നാൽ പ്രളയപ്രിയനായ ഇവനിൽ അത് എവിടെ? ഇവൻ വൈശ്യനുമല്ല; എപ്പോഴും ദരിദ്രനെപ്പോലെ പെരുമാറുന്നു.
