यं न वेदा विदुः सम्यङ्न च तौ वेदपूरुषौ । ततोपि वरयोग्योस्मि तन्नाथ प्रार्थयाम्यहम्
yaṃ na vedā viduḥ samyaṅna ca tau vedapūruṣau | tatopi varayogyosmi tannātha prārthayāmyaham
വേദങ്ങളും സമ്യകമായി അറിയാത്തവനെയും, ‘വേദപുരുഷർ’ എന്നു പറയപ്പെടുന്ന ആ രണ്ടുപേരും അറിയാത്തവനെയും—എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ വരം അപേക്ഷിക്കാൻ യോഗ്യൻ; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഹേ നാഥാ, ഞാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു।
