madhuraṃ mṛdulaṃ satyaṃ svapramāṇaṃ susaṃskṛtam | hitaṃ mitaṃ sadṛṣṭāṃtaṃ śrutvā pakṣisubhāṣitam

Translation

പക്ഷികളുടെ സുസംസ്കൃതമായ സुभാഷിതവചനങ്ങൾ—മധുരവും മൃദുവും സത്യവും സ്വപ്രമാണവും; ഹിതകരവും മിതവും യുക്തമായ ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളാൽ സമർത്ഥിതവും—കേട്ട് (അവൻ) അന്തരത്തിൽ ആഴമായി സ്പന്ദിച്ചു।
