तावत्कालस्तया साध्व्या महान्विघ्नोऽनुमीयते । निमेषांतरितः कालो यो यो व्यथोंगतो मम । लिंगानवेक्षणात्तत्र प्रायश्चित्तं कथं भवेत
tāvatkālastayā sādhvyā mahānvighno'numīyate | nimeṣāṃtaritaḥ kālo yo yo vyathoṃgato mama | liṃgānavekṣaṇāttatra prāyaścittaṃ kathaṃ bhaveta
അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ആ സാധ്വി അത്രയുമുള്ള സമയത്തെയും മഹാവിഘ്നമായി കരുതി— ‘എനിക്ക് കണ്ണുമിടിപ്പിന്റെ ഇടവേളയിലുപോലും ലിംഗദർശനം കൂടാതെ കഴിഞ്ഞ ഓരോ ക്ഷണവും വ്യഥയായി; അതിന് പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം എങ്ങനെ ഉണ്ടാകും?’
