भारद्वाजस्य तनयो दमनो नाम नामतः । कृतमौंजीविधिः सोथ विद्याजातं प्रगृह्य च
bhāradvājasya tanayo damano nāma nāmataḥ | kṛtamauṃjīvidhiḥ sotha vidyājātaṃ pragṛhya ca
ഭാരദ്വാജന്റെ പുത്രൻ ദമനൻ എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെട്ടു. അവൻ വിധിപൂർവ്വം മൗഞ്ജീബന്ധനം (ഉപനയനം) നിർവഹിച്ചു, തുടർന്ന് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ ശാസനങ്ങൾ സ്വീകരിച്ചു.
