पप्रच्छ दमनं चेति कस्त्वं कस्मादिहागतः । तरुणोपि विरक्तोसि कुतस्तद्वद सत्तम
papraccha damanaṃ ceti kastvaṃ kasmādihāgataḥ | taruṇopi viraktosi kutastadvada sattama
അവൻ ദമനനോട് ചോദിച്ചു—“നീ ആരാണ്? എവിടെ നിന്നാണ് ഇവിടെ വന്നത്? യുവാവായിട്ടും നീ വിരക്തനാണ്—അത് എങ്ങനെ സംഭവിച്ചു? പറയുക, ഹേ സത്തമാ।”
