स्कंद उवाच । गभस्तिमालिनिगते काशीं त्रैलोक्यमोहिनीम् । पुनश्चिंतामवापोच्चैर्मंदरस्थो मुने हरः

skaṃda uvāca | gabhastimālinigate kāśīṃ trailokyamohinīm | punaściṃtāmavāpoccairmaṃdarastho mune haraḥ

സ്കന്ദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ മുനേ! ഗഭസ്തിമാലി (സൂര്യൻ) അസ്തമിച്ചപ്പോൾ, മന്ദരപർവതത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന ഹരൻ വീണ്ടും ത്രിലോകമോഹിനിയായ കാശിയെക്കുറിച്ച് അതിഗാഢമായ ചിന്തയിൽ ആഴ്ന്നു.
