श्मशानस्तंभमभितो नीयंते कंठपाशिताः । पिपासिता अपि न तेंऽबुस्पर्शमपि चाप्नुयुः
śmaśānastaṃbhamabhito nīyaṃte kaṃṭhapāśitāḥ | pipāsitā api na teṃ'busparśamapi cāpnuyuḥ
ശ്മശാനസ്തംഭത്തെ ചുറ്റി കഴുത്തിൽ പാശം കെട്ടപ്പെട്ടവരായി അവർ വലിച്ചിഴക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ദാഹത്താൽ വലഞ്ഞാലും ജലസ്പർശം പോലും അവർക്കു ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.
