विषमेक्षण पादाब्जं समीक्षिष्ये यदा पुनः । तदांबुविप्रुषमपि भक्षयिष्यामि चेत्यहो
viṣamekṣaṇa pādābjaṃ samīkṣiṣye yadā punaḥ | tadāṃbuvipruṣamapi bhakṣayiṣyāmi cetyaho
“ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും വിഷമേക്ഷണനായ ശിവന്റെ പാദപദ്മം ദർശിക്കുന്നപ്പോൾ മാത്രമേ—മാത്രമേ—ജലത്തിന്റെ ഒരു തുള്ളിയെങ്കിലും സ്വീകരിക്കൂ!” എന്ന് അവൻ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു।
