वृद्धेनाराधितो यस्माद्धारीतेन तपस्विना । आदित्यो वार्धकहरो वृद्धादित्यस्ततः स्मृतः
vṛddhenārādhito yasmāddhārītena tapasvinā | ādityo vārdhakaharo vṛddhādityastataḥ smṛtaḥ
വൃദ്ധാവസ്ഥയിൽ തപസ്വിയായ ഹാരീതൻ ആദിത്യനെ ആരാധിച്ചതിനാൽ, ജരയെ ഹരിക്കുന്ന ആ ആദിത്യൻ ‘വൃദ്ധാദിത്യൻ’ എന്നായി സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു।
