अगस्तिरुवाच । मथुरायां द्विजः कश्चिदभूद्भूदेवसत्तमः । तस्य पुत्रो महातेजाः शिवशर्मेति विश्रुतः
agastiruvāca | mathurāyāṃ dvijaḥ kaścidabhūdbhūdevasattamaḥ | tasya putro mahātejāḥ śivaśarmeti viśrutaḥ
അഗസ്ത്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മഥുരയിൽ ഒരു ദ്വിജൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഭൂദേവ ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാരിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ. അവന്റെ മഹാതേജസ്സുള്ള പുത്രൻ ‘ശിവശർമ’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനായിരുന്നു.
