नापत्यं पाति नो माता न पिता नैव बांधवाः । पत्युश्चरणशुश्रूषा पायाद्वै केवलं स्त्रियम्

nāpatyaṃ pāti no mātā na pitā naiva bāṃdhavāḥ | patyuścaraṇaśuśrūṣā pāyādvai kevalaṃ striyam

മക്കളും രക്ഷിക്കില്ല; അമ്മയും അല്ല; അച്ഛനും അല്ല; ബന്ധുക്കളും അല്ല. സ്ത്രീയ്ക്ക് യഥാർത്ഥ സംരക്ഷണം ഭർത്താവിന്റെ പാദങ്ങളിൽ ഭക്തിയോടെ ചെയ്യുന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷ മാത്രമാണ്.
