अगमिष्यदहोकथं सतापो ननु दक्षांगजयाय एधितः । ममजीवातुलता झटित्यलं ह्यभविष्यन्न हिमाद्रिजा यदि
agamiṣyadahokathaṃ satāpo nanu dakṣāṃgajayāya edhitaḥ | mamajīvātulatā jhaṭityalaṃ hyabhaviṣyanna himādrijā yadi
അയ്യോ! ദക്ഷപുത്രിയാൽ വർദ്ധിച്ച ഈ സന്താപത്തിൽ ഞാൻ എങ്ങനെ ജീവിക്കുമായിരുന്നു? ഹിമവാന്റെ പുത്രി (പാർവ്വതി) ഇല്ലായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ, എന്റെ ജീവൻ തൽക്ഷണം അവസാനിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.
