स्कंद उवाच । मंदरं गतवान्देवो ब्रह्मणो वाक्य गौरवात् । तपसा तस्य संतुष्टो मंदरस्यैव भूभृतः

skaṃda uvāca | maṃdaraṃ gatavāndevo brahmaṇo vākya gauravāt | tapasā tasya saṃtuṣṭo maṃdarasyaiva bhūbhṛtaḥ

സ്കന്ദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ വചനത്തിന്റെ ഗൗരവം മാനിച്ച് ദേവൻ മന്ദരത്തിലേക്ക് പോയി. അവന്റെ തപസ്സാൽ മന്ദരപർവതവും സന്തുഷ്ടനായി।
