अकस्माद्वीक्षते यस्तु पुरुषं कृष्णपिंगलम् । तस्मिन्नेव क्षणेऽरूपं स जीवेद्वत्सरद्वयम्
akasmādvīkṣate yastu puruṣaṃ kṛṣṇapiṃgalam | tasminneva kṣaṇe'rūpaṃ sa jīvedvatsaradvayam
ആരെങ്കിലും അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി കൃഷ്ണ-പിംഗള (ശ്യാമ-മഞ്ഞച്ചായ) വർണ്ണമുള്ള ഒരു പുരുഷനെ കണ്ടാൽ, അതേ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ നിന്ന്—നിമിത്തം സൂക്ഷ്മവും അരൂപവുമായിരുന്നാലും—അവന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് രണ്ട് വർഷം മാത്രമെന്ന് പറയുന്നു.
