दृढासनो यथाशक्ति प्राणं चंद्रेण पूरयेत् । रेचयेदथ सूर्येण प्राणायामोयमुच्यते

ദൃഢാസനത്തിൽ യഥാശക്തി ‘ചന്ദ്ര’ നാഡിയിലൂടെ പ്രാണം പൂരിപ്പിക്കണം; പിന്നെ ‘സൂര്യ’ നാഡിയിലൂടെ രേചനം ചെയ്യണം—ഇതിനെ പ്രാണായാമം എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
