अप्रयच्छन्समाप्नोति भूणहत्यामृतावृतौ । स्वयं त्वभावे दातॄणां कन्या कुर्यात्स्वयं वरम्
aprayacchansamāpnoti bhūṇahatyāmṛtāvṛtau | svayaṃ tvabhāve dātṝṇāṃ kanyā kuryātsvayaṃ varam
യഥാസമയം കന്യാദാനം ചെയ്യാത്തവൻ ഓരോ ഋതുവിലും ഭ്രൂണഹത്യാപാപം നേടുന്നു. രക്ഷിതാക്കൾ ഇല്ലാത്തപക്ഷം, കന്യകയ്ക്ക് സ്വയം വരനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.
