एकतः सर्वदानानि दीपदानं तथैकतः । कार्तिके दीपदानस्य कलां नार्हंति षोडशीम्
ekataḥ sarvadānāni dīpadānaṃ tathaikataḥ | kārtike dīpadānasya kalāṃ nārhaṃti ṣoḍaśīm
ഒരു വശത്ത് എല്ലാ ദാനങ്ങളും, മറുവശത്ത് ദീപദാനം. കാർത്തികത്തിൽ ദീപദാനത്തിന്റെ പുണ്യത്തിന്റെ പതിനാറിലൊന്നിനും മറ്റു ദാനങ്ങൾ തുല്യമല്ല.
