धर्मोपदेशः शूद्राणां स्वश्रेयः प्रतिघातयेत् । द्विजशुश्रूषणं धर्मः शूद्राणां हि परो मतः
dharmopadeśaḥ śūdrāṇāṃ svaśreyaḥ pratighātayet | dvijaśuśrūṣaṇaṃ dharmaḥ śūdrāṇāṃ hi paro mataḥ
ഇവിടെ പറയുന്നത്: ശൂദ്രർക്കു (ചില) ധർമ്മോപദേശം നൽകുന്നത് അവരുടെ സ്വന്തം ശ്രേയസ്സിന് തടസ്സമാകുന്നു. ശൂദ്രർക്കു ദ്വിജന്മാരുടെ സേവയും ശുശ്രൂഷയും തന്നെയാണ് പരമധർമ്മം എന്നു കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു.
