dharmyairvivāhairjāyaṃte dharmyā eva śatāyuṣaḥ | adharmyairdharmarahitā maṃdabhāgyadhanāyuṣaḥ

ധർമ്മ്യമായ വിവാഹങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ധർമ്മസമ്പന്നമായ സന്തതി ജനിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ശതായുസ്സുള്ളവരാകും. അധർമ്മ്യ വിവാഹങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ധർമ്മരഹിതർ ജനിക്കുന്നു—അവർക്കു ഭാഗ്യം, ധനം, ആയുസ്സ് എന്നിവ അല്പം.
